Mix & Match – Ideas, impulses, exchanges
26. Juni, Zeit: 16:15 – 17:45
Whichever faculty you’re a part of here in Bamberg… every academic discipline has its own rules, standards, and ‚ways of doing things‘. But there’s one thing that can benefit all our work, regardless of what it’s about or how we do it: academic exchange!
And that’s exactly what our brand-new series of ‚Mix & Match‘ events has been set up to enable and promote. We, the Forschungsnetzwerk : Research Network of the AK Forschung of the Non-professorial Academic Staff Council want to offer researchers here in Bamberg a platform to share research ideas, discuss them with colleagues, and ‚take away‘ fresh impulses and approaches for individual or collaborative projects.
So how does it work?
The basic idea is that anyone who’s interested can spend 10 minutes (max.) presenting their research projects and/or ideas to an interdisciplinary audience. The presenter should try to indicate where they see possibilities for collaboration, any specific points they’d like to discuss, and particular sticking points or aspects which might need a fresh perspective.
After the presentation, there’ll be the opportunity for informal discussion. Whether at the end of the session you’ve got an idea for a collective application, some much-needed help in putting together a statistical evaluation, or just a list of new contacts… it’s all completely up to you.
Your presentation doesn’t have to be exceptionally polished; nor does your research project need to be at a particularly advanced stage. The aim of Mix & Match is, first and foremost, to get interdisciplinary dialogue going and to provide an open-minded testing ground for collaboration across the University.
When & where will in-person ‚Mix & Match‘ events be taking place in the winter semester 2022/23?
Our first event will take place on Monday, 26 June 16:15 – 17:45 im MG2 / 01.04 and online on Teams. (The link to the Teams course can be found on the Virtual Campus.)
